Don Bowen Update: 2008-08-13

I finally got the pictures from Dr. Peters at Duke and wanted to share them. They really are pretty impressive. When I get an MRI they inject me with contrast. Don’t ask me to explain it but it enhances the differences between normal and abnormal tissue.

Here is a comparison between my MRI on May 28th versus July 11th without the contrast:

You don’t have to be a brain specialist to see that the pictures on the right are much better. I was and still am very encouraged. HOWEVER, I walk by faith not by sight, though if God wants to show me how He’s healing me as we go, who am I to say no 🙂

You can kind of tell those are me, can’t you? 🙂

I had my labs done this morning and amazingly I got a call from our nurse Jeri (the charge nurse no less!) at the hospital saying she was already expecting me and my drugs had been ordered. This is great news, since it seems like most of the time we wait while the pharmacy processes the order. Maybe Friday will be the shortest treatment yet. Three hours would be about the fastest.

I wanted to share both of these things because you have been praying and these are absolutely results of God answering BIG! Thank you.

I need a miracle, God specializes in them, pray BIG!

AWESOME pics! I love candids. But now I have to re-think one of my fav quotes, “you’ve never had a camera in my head” from The Truman Show.

Ok, maybe I’m just playing “fun with ink blots” but I swear there’s a crucifix and cross at the base of your brain on your neck in those pics.

What a difference six weeks…and a lot of hard work…and a lot of PRAYER…makes. So cool.
